A modern development support agency
Establishment and institutional role
The establishment of the Development Agency under the name “Filippoi Local Government Development Agency, Single-Member Public Limited Company” and the distinctive title “Filippoi Development Single-Member S.A.” took place in accordance with the provisions of Laws No. 4674/2020 and No. 4690/2020 and in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 4548/2018 on public limited companies, with the aim of serving as a tool for implementing the development policy of the Municipality of Kavala for the benefit of the local community.
The public limited company under the name “Filippoi Local Government Development Organization – Single-Member Public Limited Company” is a legal entity governed by private law (LE) established for a specific purpose in the public interest and is registered in the General Commercial Registry (GEMI) under registration number 178172930000.

The Development Agency is responsible for implementing initiatives and projects that support the development goals and priorities of the Municipality of Kavala, utilizes funding instruments, and manages investment and special development programs funded by resources from Greece and the European Union, with the aim of:
Implementation of development policy
the implementation, in collaboration with the Municipality of Kavala, of a development policy for the benefit of the local community.
Administrative & technical support
strengthening the administrative and technical capacity of the Municipality of Kavala through advisory, technical, and scientific support.
Infrastructure design & implementation
the support of the Municipality of Kavala in the planning, development, and implementation of infrastructure projects.
Sustainable development & the 2030 Agenda
the implementation of initiatives and projects that align with the sustainable development goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
Digital convergence
the implementation of projects and the provision of digital convergence services.
Support for local government responsibilities
the general support provided by the Municipality of Kavala in the exercise of local government responsibilities.

promoting sustainable development through participation in relevant programs and the implementation of related policies.
